The technical NEXT_LOCALE cookie may remember the selected language for the browser session. It is not used for advertising.

Audience measurement with Plausible

Plausible does not set cookies. The service temporarily processes the IP address and browser information to create a daily identifier, then does not retain those raw values. AssistLux receives aggregate visit statistics.

Videos and external services

Embedded videos use YouTube (Google). The first click opens an explanation: no player or connection to YouTube is loaded at this stage. “Allow and play” connects your browser to Google, which receives information including your IP address and device details. Google may use cookies for playback, audience measurement and advertising under its own terms. “Not now” lets you continue browsing the page without loading the player. Your permission applies to this player on this page; the website does not remember it for a later visit. “Close video” stops the player and its connections, but does not erase data already sent or any cookies already stored. You can remove these cookies in your browser settings. Google’s policy linked below provides details about retention periods and recipients of its processing. “Open on YouTube” and other external links take you directly to the relevant website.

Managing the cookie

You can delete or block NEXT_LOCALE in your browser settings. The language may then be detected again or need to be selected again.
